Listing
Sceniq Store
Sceniq Store is the last page of a guide's Listing group in the sidebar. The Sceniq Store is the public catalog where travelers browse and filter guides from every creator.
Your creator profile shows every published guide, without any review. The store shows a guide only after Sceniq has approved it by hand, and only while you show it there. A guide has one store listing; its card in the store leads to the guide's Store page, its main sales page.
Get listed in the Sceniq Store
Until you ask for a listing, the page holds one box: Get listed in the Sceniq Store, with Request a listing. Pressing it sends the guide to store review. You can ask before the guide is published; it can only appear in the store once it is published and approved.
After that, the page shows the review box at the top, then Store listing, Show reviews and, on the right, the Store preview.
Store review
A person at Sceniq reviews every request before a guide appears in the store, and may decline it. The box at the top of the page shows where the guide stands; if the request is declined, it shows the reviewer's feedback.
| State | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| In review | Your request is waiting for its review. | Nothing is needed. You can keep working on the guide. |
| Listed in the Sceniq Store | The guide is in the store, where travelers find it while browsing. | Remove from the store, in its own box at the foot of the page, takes it out at once. The approval stays, so you can bring it back without a new review. |
| Approved | The guide is approved but not in the store right now. Under the heading the box says why: either the guide is a draft or archived and appears in the store as soon as it is published, or it is not shown there, for example because you removed it. | Nothing, while it waits for its publish. When it is not shown, Show in the Sceniq Store brings it back without a new review: at once on a published guide, and at its next publish on a draft or archived one. |
| Not approved yet | The review did not approve the guide. The reviewer's feedback shows in red under the heading. | Change what the feedback names, then press Request a listing again. The guide goes back to In review. |
Things worth knowing:
- The store shows published guides only. A guide approved before it is published waits: publishing it puts it in the store by itself, with no further step.
- Archive guide takes the guide out of the store at once. Publishing it again brings it back, without a new review. A guide you took out with Remove from the store stays out when you publish it again.
- Changes after approval keep the guide in the store: a new name, headline or thumbnail, a sales page you publish, or turning photo credits off with Show credits (see Media and photos). Sceniq sees what changed and can still take a guide out of the store, with feedback that shows here.
- While the guide is listed, search engines can list its store page. Before that, and on every other sales page, they are asked not to.
Store listing
A guide has one Sceniq Store listing and can have many sales pages. This box holds the listing's text.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Headline | One line about the guide. It shows under the guide's name on the large card the store uses when it features a guide, and under the title of every sales page whose Hero has no Headline of its own. Search engines and link previews use it as the description of the guide's sales pages. |
| URL | The address of the guide's store page, such as /yourname/iceland. It was set when the guide was created and never changes. |
| Save listing | Saves the headline. It stays grey until the headline changed, and shows Saved after a save. |
The headline needs no publish: it shows as soon as it is saved, though a live sales page can take up to 5 minutes to show it.
Show reviews
Your guide's star rating and number of reviews from buyers, on the guide's card in the store and on your creator profile. Off hides them from both cards. The switch saves the moment you flip it and needs no publish. It is on for new guides.
Sales pages do not follow this switch: they show the rating while their Reviews block is on, set in the sales page builder.
Remove from the store
Shown at the foot of the page while the guide is listed. The button takes the guide out of the store at once. It stays on sale on its sales pages and your creator profile, and the approval stays, so Show in the Sceniq Store brings it back without a new review.
Store preview
The guide's card exactly as the store draws it, with the headline as you type it. The two buttons under Preview switch between the cards:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| In the store | The card in the store's grid, the same portrait card as on your creator profile: the guide thumbnail from Name and price (without one, the first hero photo of the store page), the flags of the guide's countries (a small blue world tile when it has none, a worldwide guide), its name, your name, and at the foot the rating and spot count across from the price. |
| Featured | The large card the store's front page uses when it features a guide: the same portrait picture with the guide's name, the Headline, your name, the rating and spot count and the price. On a wide screen the text sits beside the picture; the preview shows it as a phone does, under the picture. |
The store's country filter finds the guide under every country it covers, from Name and price.
The example guide
Every creator also sees a read-only example guide. Its Sceniq Store page shows the store text, the switch and the preview, with nothing that can be changed, and no review box: its review state stays with its creator.
