Markdown

Profile sits at the foot of the studio sidebar, above Settings. It holds how buyers see you: your photo, your display name, your bio and your social links, on your public profile page, on your sales pages and in the guides they buy. Beside the boxes (below them on a narrow screen), a phone shows your profile page as buyers will see it.

Each box saves on its own: the photo as soon as you pick it or remove it, the name, bio and links with their own button.

Profile picture

Upload photo opens a file picker. Pick a photo of up to 100 MB and 80 megapixels. The studio shrinks and compresses it in your browser, removes its location and camera data, and saves it as soon as the upload is done: there is no save button and nothing to crop. The button reads Uploading... until then.

  • A new photo replaces the old one everywhere.
  • Remove photo shows once you have a photo. It takes the photo off at once, everywhere: the first letter of your display name stands in for it again. With no photo, Complete your profile in Onboarding is open again.
  • On your profile page and in the about section of your sales pages, the photo fills a 4:5 frame from its middle, so a portrait photo keeps the most of itself. Beside your name on a sales page, and in this box, it is round.
  • With no photo, a grey circle with the first letter of your display name stands in for it.
  • A link to your profile page, shared in messages or on social apps, previews with your photo and display name over the colours of your first guide's thumbnail. A guide's own links preview with its thumbnail.
  • HEIC photos open in Safari only. In another browser the studio says it cannot read the file: convert it to JPG and try again. If the upload fails for another reason, the reason shows under the button.

Identity

Your name and bio as buyers see them, and the two things that identify your account. The badge beside the box's title shows your role on this creator account: owner.

FieldWhat it does
Display nameThe name buyers see: at the top of your profile page, as "By" and your name on store cards and on your sales pages, and in the guides they own. It also shows at the foot of the studio sidebar. It cannot be empty.
BioA few lines about you, up to 500 characters: under your name on your profile page, and in the about section of your sales pages unless a page has its own text. Line breaks stay. Clear it and save to take it off. Under the field, a count shows how many characters are left once you near the limit.
UsernameYour address on Sceniq: your profile page is sceniq.earth/yourname, and the link of every sales page you publish starts with it. Greyed out, because it cannot be changed: links you have shared keep working.
EmailThe email you sign in with. Greyed out: it cannot be changed.
Save changesSaves the display name and the bio. It stays grey until one of them differs from the saved one, and while the name is empty.

You picked your username when you accepted your invite. Usernames are 3 to 40 characters of lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, with a hyphen only between two letters or numbers, and a few words are kept back for Sceniq's own pages.

Where buyers can follow you: one row each for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Fill in the ones you use. An empty row is left off your pages.

  • Type your handle, with or without the @, or paste the link to your profile on that platform. When you leave the field, a pasted link or a leading @ turns into the bare handle.
  • Under the field, the studio shows the link buyers will open, built from the handle (for example instagram.com/yourname). Click it to check that it opens your account.
  • A handle holds letters, numbers, dots, dashes and underscores. Anything else, such as a link to a post, a share link or a channel link without your @handle, turns the row red with a note, and the box cannot save until you fix or clear it.
  • Save links saves all three rows at once and replaces what was saved before, so clearing a row and saving takes that account off your pages. It stays grey until a row changed, and while any row is red.

On your pages, each account shows as a small square in the platform's colours with its mark, without the handle, and opens your profile on that platform. Pointing at it shows your @handle. Follower counts are never shown.

The about section of a sales page (About the creator in the builder) shows these same links, unless that page lists its own: see Sales pages.

The phone preview

The phone shows your public profile page: your photo, your display name, your bio, your social links and, under Guides, a card for each of your live guides. It shows your name, bio and links as you type, before you save, so you can see a change first. Scroll inside the phone to see the whole page.

Under the phone, the address of your profile page opens the live page in a new tab. The live page shows only what you saved.

Your profile page

Your profile page at sceniq.earth/yourname shows:

  • your photo, display name, bio and social links;
  • under Guides, a card for every guide of yours that is live, whether or not it is in the Sceniq Store. Drafts and archived guides are left out. With no live guide, it reads "No guides published yet."

Visitors also land here when they open the link of a sales page that is turned off or deleted, or of a guide that is off sale.

When buyers see a change

Profile changes need no publish: everything that shows your profile reads it live.

  • Your profile page shows a saved change at once.
  • The guides buyers own show your new name and photo too.
  • A live sales page can take up to 5 minutes to show a new name, photo, bio or links; until then it shows the previous ones.

Onboarding

The first step of Onboarding, Complete your profile, is done once you have a photo and at least one saved social link. Its button, Open Profile, brings you to this page.

An AI agent with a Write key can change your display name and social links too, but not your photo: see AI agents and API keys.
