Payouts

Markdown

Payouts is where your share of every sale collects and where you send it to your bank. It is the fourth row of the studio sidebar. You send money to your bank with Withdraw, and withdrawals have no approval step: when you press it, the money goes.

How a sale reaches your balance

  • Your share of a sale is 85 percent of its price without VAT when the buyer came through you, and 65 percent when Sceniq brought them. Fees, prices and taxes shows how it is worked out.
  • For 14 days after the purchase your share is On the way, which leaves room for refunds. Then it is Available to withdraw.
  • A payment the card company flags as possible fraud stays On the way longer before it is released.
  • A refund in the meantime takes the refunded part of your share out of your balance, plus a refund fee of 10 percent of the refunded amount before VAT. A full refund or an open dispute takes the whole sale out; a dispute that ends in the sale's favour brings it back, and a lost one brings back your share of any part of the price that was not disputed, minus a dispute fee of 20.
  • Each currency is kept apart: a sale counts in the currency it was paid in, and each currency has its own balance and its own withdrawals.
  • You can sell before you set up payouts. Your share collects here and waits for you.

The info mark after the line under your balance, How payouts work, sums this up.

Balance

The top of the page shows the currency, with its flag, and the amount you can withdraw now. Any outstanding balance is already taken off it. The line under the amount says what else is going on:

LineWhen it shows
$40.00 on the wayPart of your share is still waiting out the 14 days after its purchase. The amount is what becomes available over the coming days.
Ready to withdrawNothing is on the way, and some money is available. It shows for any amount above zero, also below the 100 minimum, while Withdraw stays locked.
Your sales land hereThere is nothing to withdraw and nothing on the way, for example before your first sale.

With money in more than one currency, the page opens on the currency with the most to withdraw (then the most on the way). To switch:

  • on a wide screen, pick one of the currency cards under the buttons; each card shows that currency's whole balance, on the way and available together;
  • on a narrow screen, such as a phone, pick a currency in Balances, which lists what is available in each.

The balance, the buttons, the On the way card and the Balance summary then show that currency. Outstanding balance, Recent activity and the Balance ledger always list every currency.

Withdraw and Account

Once you have a payout account, two round buttons sit under the balance.

Withdraw sends everything available in the currency on show to your bank. Withdrawals start at 100 in each currency (100 USD, 100 EUR and so on), and there is no amount to pick: a withdrawal always takes everything available in that currency. While less than that is available, a ring around the button fills toward it. A button that is ready to press glows softly.

When Withdraw cannot be used, it looks greyed out and a short text always sits under it. Tapping it then adds a full sentence under both buttons:

Under the buttonTapping it saysWhy
Finish setup"Finish setting up payouts first."Your payout account is not Active yet.
Processing"Your last withdrawal is still being processed."A withdrawal of yours in this currency has not finished.
Processing"A payout is being processed. Try again in a little while."Sceniq is running a payout in this currency.
How much is still missing, for example $20.00 to go, or From $100.00 when nothing is available"Withdrawals start at $100.00."Less than 100 is available in this currency.

Account opens the payout account dialog.

On the way and Balance summary

On a narrow screen, an On the way card appears under the buttons while part of your share is waiting. Tap it to see the days the amounts become available, with the amount for each day.

On a wide screen, Balance summary shows the same in full. A bar splits your balance into what is on the way (grey) and what is available, and a table follows:

TypeAmount
On the wayYour share still waiting, with each release day and its amount under it.
AvailableWhat Withdraw would send right now.

A release day is the date the amount becomes available; it is the same date in every time zone.

Outstanding balance

This notice shows when you owe Sceniq money: a refund fee or a dispute fee, or a refund or a chargeback that came after its sale had already been paid out to you, when part of your share could not be taken back from your payout account. It names the amount per currency. That amount comes off your next withdrawal on its own, and nothing is ever collected from your bank account. The balance at the top already has it taken off. The balance ledger shows each case.

Recent activity

Every payout to you, newest first: your withdrawals, and any payout Sceniq ran for you. It appears once you have a payout account; until the first payout it reads "Your withdrawals show up here."

On a wide screen it is a table:

ColumnWhat it shows
AmountThe amount sent, with a status beside it when there is something to say.
DestinationYour bank account.
TypeWithdrawal, for every line.
DateThe day the money left. For one still in progress, the day it started.

On a narrow screen each payout shows its amount, To your bank account and the date, with its status on the right.

A payout that went through has no status word. The others:

StatusMeaning
ProcessingThe payout is being sent.
DelayedSending it failed for a technical reason. Sceniq has been told and finishes it; nothing is needed from you. Until then, Withdraw waits in this currency.
Applied to balanceA payout Sceniq ran went entirely to an outstanding balance, so nothing was sent to your bank. Your own withdrawals never end this way: when nothing would be left after the outstanding balance, there is nothing to withdraw.

When a payout also paid off part of an outstanding balance, the line under its amount says how much, for example "after $12.00 outstanding balance".

Balance ledger

This box only appears once there is something in it. It records refund and dispute fees, the part of your share that Sceniq could not take back after a refund or chargeback on a sale already paid out to you, and how each such amount was settled. When Sceniq takes the refunded part back from your payout account in full, nothing is owed, and that refund shows nowhere on Payouts.

Each line starts with Owed or Settled, then says what it is, and ends with the amount (minus for owed, plus for settled) and the date.

LineMeaning
Refund recoveryOwed: a sale was refunded after its money was paid out to you, and this part of your share could not be taken back from your payout account.
Chargeback recoveryOwed: the same after a chargeback that ended against the sale.
Refund feeOwed: the refund fee on a refund, 10 percent of the refunded amount before VAT.
Dispute feeOwed: the fee on a dispute that ended for the buyer, 20 in the sale's currency.
Refund fee cancelledSettled: the refund behind a refund fee did not go through, so the fee is cancelled.
Netted against a payoutSettled: this much of what you owed came off a payout.
Recovery cancelledSettled: you owe nothing for a recovery after all, because the refund behind it did not go through, or Sceniq gave the amount back.
Manual adjustmentSettled: Sceniq cancelled an amount you owed, or recorded money it returned to you outside a payout.

An Owed line you no longer owe ends with (settled): a payout covered it, or the refund behind it did not go through. One that Sceniq cancelled without collecting it ends with (written off). When a payout covers only part of an owed amount, the rest shows as a new Owed line.

The withdraw sheet

Withdraw opens a sheet that shows what is about to happen:

  • Standard: Arrives in a few business days · Free. It is the only way a withdrawal travels, and Sceniq takes nothing from it.
  • To: your bank account, then the currency and the amount, and under it what is available, for example $250.00 available.

The button at the foot, for example Withdraw $250.00, sends it. The sheet then says how it went:

ResultMeaning
Withdrawal sentThe money is on its way to your bank. It usually arrives within a few business days.
Withdrawal delayedSending did not finish. Sceniq has been told and finishes it; nothing is needed from you. Until then Recent activity shows it as Processing or Delayed.
Nothing was sentThe amount stays in your balance, and Withdraw works again. Just before the money moves, Sceniq checks the withdrawal once more; nothing is sent when one of its sales got a refund or a dispute in that moment, when an amount you owed was cancelled, or when your payout account cannot receive money right now. Check your payout account, then try again.
Could not withdrawNothing moved, and the sheet says why: for example nothing to withdraw yet, less than the minimum, a withdrawal still being processed, or a payout account that is not ready.

The amount in the result is the amount that actually moved. It can differ from the button when your balance changed in that moment.

Payout account

Account opens the Payout account dialog: where your withdrawals go. It updates on its own after every change you make in the setup.

RowWhat it shows
StatusActive: the account can receive withdrawals and pay them on to your bank. Incomplete: details are still missing or still being checked. Rejected: the account was refused and cannot receive withdrawals.
Details submittedWhether you have sent every detail the setup asks for.
Payouts enabledWhether the account can pay money on to your bank.
Country / currencyThe country you picked when you set up payouts, and the account's currency, for example DE / EUR.

Until the account is Active, the dialog has a Continue setup button, which takes you back into the setup where you left off.

Setting up payouts

Before you have a payout account, Set up payouts to withdraw sits under the balance in place of the buttons:

  1. Pick Your country, the country you are based in. The list holds the countries Sceniq can pay out to: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. The setup that follows is for that country, and it cannot be changed from the studio later.
  2. Press Set up payouts. A secure setup page opens, where you add your identity and bank details once. It takes about five minutes. You start out as an individual, with your profile page as your website, so the setup does not ask for a business type or a website. Both show on its summary before you agree, where you can change them, for example to be paid through your company.
  3. When you finish, the setup page brings you back to Payouts, which says your details are being checked. The page updates on its own when the check is done.

Until the account is Active, Finish setting up payouts appears under the buttons, as a card like the first one. Before you have sent your details, it asks you to pick up where you left off: once your details are in, you can withdraw. Once you have sent them, it says withdrawals open when they are checked, and that Continue setup shows anything still missing. Continue setup opens the setup again where you left off. If a setup link has expired, Payouts says so, and Continue setup opens a fresh one.

Onboarding ticks its Set up payouts step once your details are submitted; Withdraw waits until the account is Active.

Setting up payouts and withdrawing work only in the studio itself. An AI agent with an API key can do neither.

What each sale brought in, refunds included, is listed on Sales.
