# Marketing

**Marketing** is the fourth row of the studio sidebar. It holds the link to each of your published guides, tools to make images and Google Earth setups for your videos and five playbooks with steps, examples and texts to copy. Nothing here changes your guides or posts anything for you.

Opening any Marketing page ticks the **Marketing** step of [Onboarding](https://docs.sceniq.earth/get-started/onboarding.md), for your whole team and on every device.

## Your guide link

The box at the top holds the address of each published guide's main sales page, its **Store page** (see [Sales pages](https://docs.sceniq.earth/listing/sales-pages.md)). Every playbook sends people there. With one published guide the row reads **Your guide link**; with several, each row carries its guide's name, newest guide first. The box lists every published guide. A guide whose **Store page** is not published has no link yet, because that address would only forward to your creator profile: its row says so and **Open sales page** takes you to the page's builder, where you publish it. Its link appears here once the page is published (a freshly published page can take up to 5 minutes to show).

- Click the address to open the page in a new tab.
- **Copy** puts the address on your clipboard, and reads **Copied** for a moment.

Until a guide is published, the box says its link shows up here once one is.

## Marketing materials

**Spot screenshots** opens the [screenshot tool](https://docs.sceniq.earth/business/spot-screenshots.md). Choose a guide and one or more spots, apply a shared view and content switches, and choose each spot's photo. Download one PNG for a single spot or one ZIP containing a PNG per selected spot. These choices affect only the screenshots. You can use draft guides and saved draft changes without publishing them.

**Google Earth export** opens the [Google Earth setup](https://docs.sceniq.earth/business/google-earth.md). Select guide locations and download a KML overlay for Earth Studio or a playable zoom tour for Earth Pro. You make the video in Google Earth.

## Marketing playbooks

Under the links, one card per playbook. Each shows an example of it, the time it takes, one line on what it is and two meters: **Effort** (how much work it is) and **Effect** (how much it does for your sales), each **Low**, **Medium** or **High**, drawn as one to three bars. Click a card to open its page. Every playbook page repeats the meters beside its title and starts with a **Marketing** link back to the overview.

| Playbook | Time | **Effort** | **Effect** |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Link in bio** | **2 min** | **Low** | **Low** |
| **Pinned comment** | **30 min** | **Low** | **Low** |
| **The comments funnel** | **One evening** | **Medium** | **Medium** |
| **Content about the guide** | **Weekly** | **High** | **High** |
| **Facebook ads** | **A few dollars a day** | **High** | **High** |

The time is what a playbook takes to set up, or for reels how often you post; for ads it is the budget.

Texts to copy sit in grey boxes: a label, the text and a **Copy** button. Words in square brackets, like [your region], are yours to fill in before you post. If the browser does not allow copying, the button is replaced by a note to select the text instead.

## Link in bio

The base the other playbooks build on: the link in your profile that every "link in bio" points to.

1. **Clean up your bio**: two example profiles side by side. **Good** has one line about the guide, then the link. **Bad** has four lines about the person and nothing that says there is a guide.
2. **Put the guide link behind it**: link the guide directly, or through a link page tool if you share several links.

## Pinned comment

The same comment, pinned first under every reel, for everyone who opens the comments to ask where a place is.

1. **Pin the line under every reel**: a comment to copy, labelled **Pinned comment**. It says you made a map with your favourite spots in your region, and that the link is in your bio.
2. **Work through your old reels**: pin the same comment under every location reel you have posted, old ones included, since they still get views.

A screenshot under the steps shows such a comment pinned under a reel.

## The comments funnel

An automated reply to comments, set up in ManyChat, a separate paid service for Instagram messages. The page names its price range. When someone comments on a reel, the flow sends them the spot in a direct message, then offers your guide.

1. **Put a trigger in every caption**: **Caption ending** is a line for the end of each caption that asks people to comment a keyword ("location") to get the spot.
2. **Deliver real value in the DM**: **Auto DM opener** is the first automatic message. **The spot message** gives the spot in full, with blanks for its name, the parking, the walking time and a tip.
3. **Then the upsell**: **Upsell message** is one casual line with your guide link already filled in: the link of your newest published guide that has a published **Store page**, or [your guide link] while there is none.

Two screenshots show the flow in a direct message thread: the spot first, the guide one message later. **Set up the flow at manychat.com** at the foot of the page opens ManyChat in a new tab. Sceniq has no connection to ManyChat: you build the flow there yourself.

## Content about the guide

Reels about the guide itself, posted regularly. At the top, two example reels play in phone frames, with their likes and comments; tap Sound on one to hear it, and **Watch on Instagram** opens it on Instagram. Both end with a comment keyword, so they also start the comments funnel. Under them, three angles:

1. **The story**: why the guide exists, the scouting behind it, the question you kept being asked.
2. **The demo**: a screen recording of the guide: scroll the map, open a spot, show its photos and directions.
3. **The moment**: film yourself at a spot from the guide and say which spot of the guide it is.

**Create spot screenshots** opens [Spot screenshots](https://docs.sceniq.earth/business/spot-screenshots.md), where you can download phone views, spot pages and cards for your next video.

## Facebook ads

Paid reach for a reel that already did well without it.

1. **Start from a proven reel**: use a reel that already did well on its own instead of making an ad from scratch.
2. **Run it as an ad to your sales page**: in Meta Ads Manager, run the reel as a campaign that sends clicks to your guide's sales page, aimed at travellers interested in your region.
3. **Start small, scale what sells**: start with a few dollars a day, judge each ad by the sales it brings, and move the budget to what sells.

**Open Meta Ads Manager** opens Meta's ad tool in a new tab. You pay Meta for ads directly; Sceniq takes no part in it.

To see which of your posts, bios and ads bring people to a guide, add utm tags to the links you share. [Statistics](https://docs.sceniq.earth/business/statistics.md#traffic-sources) shows a guide's visits by source.
